Here are some answers to questions most commonly asked by brides-to-be.

How soon before my wedding should I organize my wedding flowers?

As soon as you like but preferably after you have chosen your bridal gown, bridesmaids' dresses and decided on a colour theme. I recommend leaving it no later than 6 weeks before the wedding date.

How do I place an order?

There are some "Buy It Now" items available in my webstore for you to purchase on-line. Just click on the product and follow the prompts. For customised orders, please submit your details on the "Contact Me" page and I will get back to you to discuss the details of your order whether it be for items you've viewed in my gallery or from another source and I will direct you on how to proceed.

What flowers do I need to get?

It is common practice for the bridal party to have flowers. The bride carries a bouquet and so does her bridesmaids or alternatively the bridesmaids wear wrist corsages or floral hair decorations. The groom and groomsmen wear button holes. Flower Girls usually carry a posy, basket, pomander, garland or wand. It is also customary for the mothers of the bride and groom to wear shoulder corsages and the fathers to wear button holes. Sometimes other family members and guests are catered for. You may also opt to have your ceremony & reception venue decorated with flowers. It is all a matter of personal choice whether you want to have just some or all of the above mentioned items.

What type of bouquet should I have?

It largely depends on what you like however the style, size and colour of your bouquet are best selected to compliment the style and colour of your wedding dress. For example, an elegant line bouquet is a good choice for a slim fitting gown while a round bouquet would suit a more fuller gown.

Do I need to bring anything with me to a consultation?

If possible, it's helpful to bring along fabric samples from your bridal gown and bridesmaids' dresses. Alternatively photos of the dresses or something in the same colour eg. ribbon. You might also like to bring along a photo from a book or magazine of some floral designs that you like.

When will I have to pay for my wedding flowers?

A deposit of 10% of the total value of your customised order is required at the time of booking. Balance of payment is due either upon or before delivery/collection of your flowers. I accept payment by cash, Paypal, cheque, money order or direct deposit via internet banking. On-line purchases through the webstore must be paid for in full.

Please contact me should you wish to discuss your wedding flowers in more detail or to arrange an appointment.
